I was reading up about the benefits of fasting and I'm interested. I'm interested in 24 hour fasting. I was going to aim to try my first fast this weekend but unfortunately there's too much demands on me and I won't be able to fit it in without risk of collapse. I will try fit it in again another weekend.

Are you allowed to take supplements while fasting like - vitamin c, magnesium, vitamin D.

Are you allowed juice/tea/coffee while fasting?

Also, apparently there's health benefits to fasting. I read it stimules stem cells for healing. Is this true. I'm not sick or anything. I would like to improve my oral health/gum disease. This is my main goal for fasting. To improve health.

THere are multiple health benefits to fasting - listed in the opening posts of the big thread
BUT
its not a panacea
its part of a way of life and the improvements take a while to show up

if you normally take vitamin supplements, there is nothing to stop you taking them on a fast day
BUT
starting straight in with 24 hours is probably not a good idea.
Do a few days of 16:8 and then build up to a 23:1 fast when you know you can cope with it.
