Light headed low pulse

Hello, am on my second day of fast (last one was Saturday- 3 days ago). Am fine with not eating except am so light headed and pulse really low (goes down to 43 at times). My resting pulse is usually low (prob 50 or so) and I have low blood pressure. However I do find this additional drop makes me feel so weak and dizzy. Anyone got through this and their body adjusted?

I've read you should not do intermittent fasting if you have low blood pressure. I'm no expert, just reading up on it and starting it myself.
Drinking more fluid can increase your blood pressure, if your not drinking enough and fasting, your BP will def drop, which in turn can cause your pulse to drop.

Are you optimal on electrolytes? Himalayan salt and potassium citrate and a bit of magnesium malate?

I had this and had to stop in the end. Every fast day my pulse would go down to low forties and I'd feel weak and like I needed to go to bed. I've also always had a low resting heart rate although I'm not mega fit.

I'm counting calories now and restricting myself to 16:8- much better for me personally.

It might be worth joining some of the groups on FB that deal with intermittent fasting and extended fasting. Jason Fung or Eric Berg or Dr. Pompa perhaps. The members have a wealth of knowledge and have tried pretty much everything in this subject.

Thank you so much for the info, and peachy - you sound like me! I have a low heart rate and am not mega fit, and that low 40s pulse is sickening isn't it? I felt so poorly with it. I've gone to 16:8 now too!

I felt really ill too. In bed I went down to 38 a couple of times- that was when I knew I had to stop!

Also my Fitbit doesn't show many active minutes as it takes a lot to pull my heart rate up enough to register it.
