Hi all, am about a week in on 16:8 and really wanted to find out some simple stats from people who've been on it a while and/or people who are currently on it, as I can't seem to find any anywhere without having to sift through lots of threads... If people are happy to do so, would it be possible to share the following:

  1. Age (Y) & Sex (F/M)
  2. Starting weight (SW) (st lbs/kg)
  3. Current weight (CW) (st lbs/kg)
  4. Goal weight (GW) (st lbs/kg)
  5. Calories/day restriction (if any)
  6. Fasting regime (ie, 16:8 or some variation & feeding window)
  7. Weekly exercise routine (if any)

Am hoping by just having a list of simple details, we can all provide each other with the motivation needed! Thanks

  3. CW: 9 stone 4.6lb

  5. Calories: was restricting to around 1200 a day but have not tracked on MFP since 19th May. Eating the same food though.
  6. Fasting regime: have done 43 consecutive fasts. 36 were 16:8, last 7 were 18:6 (usually end up being 18.5hrs). Moved to 18:6 because I was plateauing.
  7. Exercise: started and finished C25K and ran every day, and got 10k steps every day from 27/04 - 23/05 then stopped because of the weather (lazy)

Great thread!
I had a baby in December and although I only put on a stone I was heavy to begin with. My weight over the last 5/6 years has just every steadily sneaked up. I finally cracked in early March bought some scales and have tried to create new habits and this fasting has worked really well. I have really overhauled the way I eat and so far so good. My sister in law lost 3 stone over 5 months and mentioned she used the 16:8 diet. I read through some people's experiences on here and thought it was worth a shot. It feels nice to post my own update for someone to read!

  1. 26F
  2. 100.2kg (09/03/20)SW)
  3. 89.4kg (07/06/20)
  4. Goal weight - I don't really have one! I just want I keep losing GW)
  5. Calories/day restriction - I started with 1400 and was monitoring on my fitness pal but I'm in a good routine now so don't monitor anymore
  6. 11:00-19:00
  7. Exercise - I walk everyday with my baby and the route is 6km. 5 days a week I also do a workout in the morning. Normally a 30 minute online HIIT class or my husband and I box together in the living room

@crambosk I have a young baby (nearly 6 months) so trying to work out why exercise fits in has been a challenge! I was using an exercise bike for an hour a day but that meant sometimes my husband was having to come away form work.
I've just been doing the FerdinandFitness videos on YouTube. It's Rio Ferdinand and his wife Kate running 30 minute sessions twice a week but i just watch them back at a time that suits. They're quick and easy and get your heart rate up! Perfect if you're busy 😄

  1. 30F
  2. SW 13st 3
  3. CW 12st 8
  4. 10st 5 (ish)
  5. 800 calories a day
  6. I run every other day, very new to it though so currently only managing 2 miles or so each time

I've been doing this for two weeks finding it ok so far!
6) Fast 800/16:8 (12-8pm)

Anthilda · 11/06/2020 07:02
  1. in my 30s
  2. SW 10st 7lbs
  3. CW 9st 131lbs
  4. GW 9st (8st 7lb if I can reach it)
  5. 1200 cals per day which I usually go slightly over
  6. fasting window anywhere between 1pm/3pm until 9pm/10pm
  7. run 3 times per week/ walk dog every day for at least an hour

I only eat one meal in the afternoon and excess calories are made up with milky coffee, maybe a biscuit or 2.

I think I could lose more, and quicker if I cut down the carbs.

Anthilda · 11/06/2020 07:03
  1. CW 9st 13lbs that was meant to say.
