Do people use pre-made/ready meals for fast 800?

Hello everyone Smile, well lockdown has got me at my heaviest weight (pregnancy excluded). I’m 10st 12lbs and 5ft 4”. I’d love to lose a stone. I’m interested in fast 800 for the faster results compared to other diets. I have a couple of questions I was hoping some more experienced people could help me with.

Do many of you use pre-made stuff or is it made from scratch at home? I’d struggle trying to weigh all ingredients etc then calculate calories and this is probably where I’ve fallen down in the past. Ideally, I’d love to use an M&S Fuller for longer meal and then work around that for lunch.
Thanks for your help.

Hi, I've been using The Fast 800 recipe book.
I've lost 22lbs using a combination of Exante products and Fast 800, but I'm now using the book for nearly all my meals. There are lots of easy recipes in it.

Thank you. I may use some ready meals until I get more confident with what I can have to eat etc. I’ve got the recipe book on order too.

Can I ask for those who had a similar amount to lose (a stone) how long it took? Thanks Smile

Blood sugar diet and fast800 thread 19 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/fasting_diet/3905496-blood-sugar-diet-and-fast800-thread-19

Come and join us on our BSD/fast 800 thread, lots of inspiration in there! We have a recipe thread too.

Thank you @thenewaveragebear1983, I wasn’t sure which of the long running threads I should join. Will pop in and introduce myself Grin

Quick question on the book recipes. The calories are 'per portion'. The porridge recipe that serves 2 is 370 calories. So does that mean if I make half the amount its 370 for my portion and the whole lot would 740? Sorry, just feeling a bit dim this morning.

@HugeAckmansWife I think the calories in the book are per portion. They are quite inaccurate though so on the main thread we usually recommend adding them into MFP or similar to check.

That's good to know, thanks. I'm just starting today after 'Holy fuck' moment in the scales so I'll have a look at the other thread

I've just started the BSD and am using a mixture of cook-from-scratch and ready meals. The ready meals are calorie- counted so that is a bit easier. I've only done a week so far and ate 3 ready meals. I'm planning to eat 3 or 4 a week, all in the evenings.
