5:2... Does it get easier?

I started last week on Thursday. Today was my second time, (so Tue & Thur). I struggled today. I'm trying to do 200 cal lunch and 300 cal dinner. Plus 3 PT sessions (Mon, Wed & Fri). I have around 1.5 stone to lose.

Does it get easier? Any tips? Thank you.

I'd say yes it does get much easier, once you get used to it and find a routine that works for you. I do just one meal a day now which works best for me so you might want to experiment a bit with your lunch/dinner calories (you can get some very low cal soups if you did want to have something at lunch but leave yourself a bit more room for dinner, or others have a big breakfast, small lunch and then nothing for dinner, whatever works best for you).

Are you drinking enough during the day? This is the number 1 source of FD issues for me including headaches and feeling super hungry - you need to drink more than you think on FDs because you aren't taking in many fluids from food and if you are also avoiding your normal teas or coffees etc this won't help.

Other things that can help are having a spoonful of plain marmite on FDs (apparently it can replace lost salts and other vitamins you aren't taking in through food and prevent headaches or dizzyness, might be nonsense but psychologically anyway it feels like taking 'medicine' so helps me Grin ). If things get really rough on a FD I do allow myself a diet coke and/or to chew a piece of no-sugar chewing gum both of which seem to really help, technically I think this is not ideal because of the sweeteners but it works for me!

I do also make sure to keep myself busy on FDs as if I'm bored I find myself thinking of nothing but food! Good luck hope it works out for you - hopefully you'll see a good loss your first week or 2 fasting which should be a great motivation.

Thanks! I drink 2-3 litres of water a day.

I'm trying to keep really busy on my fasting days. I'm looking to rigging myself on Friday morning though. Hope I see a result!
