Anyone else just starting the 5:2 way of eating this week? I’ve got a lot of weight to lose, about 20kg! Was flicking through iPlayer the other day and saw the horizon documentary and both me and my husband have been inspired. It almost seems to good to be true - you only have to ‘diet’ 2 day a week?!
Today I ate:
11am: a hazelnut bar = 191 kcal
2pm: salmon sush roll = 287 kcal
19:30: pork kimchi pot from Cook = 311 kcal
And lots of herbal tea and water during the day. Total calorie count for today is 789 kcal (I’m aiming for 800 kcal on fast days as am still breastfeeding at night), and I haven’t felt hungry at all.
Is this just some kind of beginners luck? Does the novelty wear off? Have people found this way of life easy to stick to in the long term?
