Hello! I'm doing the bsd, and have been steadily losing but this morning the scales have jumped up by 5lbs!!!

Confused I don't understand!! I have just finished my period, so I'm not premenstral either. I drank about 1.5 litres of water yesterday too. Any ideas?

It has to be fluid, undigested food going on. Take your losses over a week or month where you will see a pattern emerge.
Unless you had 10000 calories extra yesterday Smile

No, I definitely didn't! I did go over slightly, I think I finished up at about 950 calories, so not massively over. Sorry if tmi, but I haven't gone to the loo properly for over 48 hours so it could be that too! Blush

If it feels like it's stuck at the exit.....glycerin suppositories! And then all the usual stuff about fibre etc. IME olive oil is good, drizzle on cold foods, cook with it.

I have trouble with constipation due to having quite a lazy bowel. When I feel i need a good clear out i buy Slimatea from Holland & Barret. It seems to have some laxative properties. I drink to before going to bed or sometimes a take Senna tablets from Boots. only ever take it for a few days though until I get back to normal.
