MFP Help

I'm starting 5:2 this week with a new excercise regime. Basically I need to lose about 3st (or 3 dress sizes). I haven't weighed myself in about a year, but last time I was 90kg at 5'7, so I'm overwight and need to accept it!

I have been trying to log what I eat on MFP and am struggling. It's fine with brand stuff and ready meals, but when I make a home made meal (like home made spag bol for instance) how do you tot all the calories up? I mean everyone makes theirs slightly differently don't they? (This is all for NFD's btw not FD's - those days I think I'll stick to Mug Shot soups!)

Thanks!

You can create your own recipe, it will calorie count it for you and then you can quickly add one portion to your food diary. It takes a little while but once it's done it's easy!

Good luck. I used 5:2 to lose 2st over 18m ago and I haven't put any back on :)

Thanks. How about when you eat at other peoples houses? Do you just try to guess?

That's amazing weight loss, I hope I can do similar!

Yes there's always some guesswork! Weigh things at home, do some exercise to earn some extra calories, and the guesswork from eating out will take care of itself.
