So if I had tea last night at 5.

If I only have 500 up to 5 tonight. Will that count then I would just have my
TDEE from 5 tonight to 5 tomorrow?

All confused may be best just doing whole day but I really struggle with eveningsHmmHmm

Some people count the "24 hour" way. But it's simpler just to think in terms of days between sleeps.

Day 1 - eat normally
Day 2 - eat 500 cals
Day 3 - eat normally.

If you struggle with evenings, have you tried keeping most of your calories for then? Keeping yourslef busy in the evening - going out somewhere non food based? Knittng?

An FD is usually a night's sleep, a 500-cal day, plus another sleep before you break your fast. So about 35 hrs rather than 24 hrs.

Usual system:
. NFD - Stop eating after supper, e.g. 9pm Thursday evening
. FD - Eat only 500 cals all day, e.g. Friday
. NFD - Eat normally e.g. From 8am Saturday

The important thing is when you add up all your calories over the week, do you have a 3000 cal deficit, co pared to 7 x TDEE.
It is the weekly calorie deficit that causes weight loss.

I regularly go 24 hours without food
then have 500 calories
then go 12 hours before eating again
it gets easy after a few months

you need to think about your intake over weeks and months, rather than days
