Starting 5:2 today. Yes I know it's an odd day (Saturday) but DH is away & it's just DS & me, and I'm keen to get started. Going to do Monday & Thursday next week I think.
I tried this a year or so ago, but lost very little, and was struggling with tiredness. Shortly afterwards I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, which was probably the issue. A year on, and it's under control so I want to try again. I've also been comfort eating for the last few months in a big way, since having a 21 week miscarriage, but am feeling stronger now & ready to get started.
I'm 5 stone overweight (!) and would like to try & shift around 1.5-2 stone of that before TTC again later this year. That would take me back to "overweight" rather than "obese" before my next pregnancy.
Does anyone want to be my friend on MFP? I don't have any real life friends doing this, so some virtual ones might be what I need to keep me on track!
