5:2 when only 7lbs to lose

Hi there:
I am looking to lose about 7lbs ready for summer. I generally eat healthily and go to the gym but have a tendency to gain weight if I am not careful.

I am not overweight. Do you think the 5:2 would work for me or would I be better to do the 4:3 version and then switch to 5:2 to maintain?
Thanks

I always do 5:2
I've got some holiday weight to lose - around 4lb
and then use 5:2 to maintain as well
its great

Definitely - my starting BMI was just under 22 and I've found it relatively easy to lose weight via 5:2. I'm about half-way to my old weight after 4/5 weeks having lost 3kg (almost 7 lbs).

I'm a gym bunny, a mesomorph, so I gain muscle and fat easily. Around the menopause, I reached the top of the healthy BMI range.
After a few months on 5:2, I got down to the mid-range BMI which suits my muscular build. I maintain easily and I love this WOE.

If you are younger, you could lose weight much more quickly than I did.
However, most folk on any WOE find the last 7 lb / six-pack requires strict attention to intake.

If you do 5:2 properly, i.e. don't over-eat on NFDs, you should lose weight, just not as quickly as those with a few stone to go.
