How do people find this if you do it? Also when do you eat?

its fine
I go to the gym all morning and do not eat till supper on fast days

thaliablogs · 14/07/2013 21:16

I did this on Friday (fast day) and was fine, but then went again sat morning (after a decent breakfast) and was laid out the rest of the day with a migraine. Dunno if I should leave it later in the day the day after a fast, was really annoying as had loads to do yesterday.

Thanks. Managed an hour and 5 mins but felt slightly weedy despite eating meal two hours before. But the n it's much hotter then normal!! It is my first fast day also, so am just getting used to things anyway.

Calories? I've read that I shouldn't have more but I really hAd to as there's no way I could have made it through such an energetic hour otherwise. I burnt about 600

The weather is making me feel tired too but usually I'm bursting with energy on fast days and do one hour plus cardio workouts no problem.

Talkinpeace · 14/07/2013 22:14

formica
remember that with 5:2 you DO NOT eat back your exercise calories
because they are accounted for in calculating your TDEE

MelanieCheeks · 14/07/2013 22:17

You don't eat back exercise cals on fast days in order to give your digestion a rest. The TDEE is for non fast days.

If you're new to fasting, take it easy on the exercise front until you're used to it.

Thanks. I feel it's quite a steep learning curve at the moment. I really should order the book as I've just winged it today, using info from various sources.
