According to the official fast diet website my TDEE is 2454 (I am quite overweight). Does this mean on fast days I can have a quarter of that rather than 500 cals?

Yes. Just remember to recalculate your TDEE and fast day calorie total as you lose the weight :)

Yes you can, but.

We have discussed this before, and we agreed that one of the good things about this diet is that it is simple. We all eat the same on fast days. There is no need to change it as we lose weight.

However if you are just starting then some people have more than the 500 until they get used to fasting.

Hooray - 600 so much easier than 500. Now I can have pudding - 10 cherries.
