Third Nexplanon causing frequent bleeding, what contraception options help stop periods?

Im currently on my third nexplanon injection.
My first one, I had put in after the birth of my son and was used only in the hopes of stopping (or atleast lightening) my periods and it did exactly that! 3 years period free and I loved it.
Had that one taken out and the 2nd put straight in, irregular but light periods.. I could go 4-6 months between periods and when they came they were light and manageable, again, this worked well.
Come to the third one, placed in October last year, I now have cycle lengths of on average 13-15 days and it’s driving me insane. Constant period pains, unexpected heavy bleeding, no real let up or down time between them. Unlike the first 2, this is now needed as a contraceptive so I don’t want to rush into getting it out with no plan for what’s best to take its place.
for context, I had the coil fitted before my first implant as I heard that was the most effective for stopping periods. I bled HEAVILY for 3 weeks as my body did not like it and wanted to flush it out.. and it did. By the time my 1 month appointment came to check in on how I was getting on with it, it was in my hand doing sweet FA.
so I won’t consider that as option.. the pill, I’m not sure I could trust myself to never forget one.. realistically I do lean towards getting it out, tracking my cycles and avoiding my fertile window for intercourse.. but that’s just from a giving my body a chance to reset point of view.. from a NO THANK YOU to getting pregnant point of view I am very much open to suggestions, if anyone’s had a similar experience what they went on to do.. or what forms of contraception have been the best at stopping periods

TIA
