Hello everyone
I am a 28-year-old very healthy woman and my partner is 33 years old. In the last month we have been trying to conceive and to be honest I was a little shattered yesterday when I saw my period. I know it has been only one try, but I thought that unprotected sex meant pregnancy in our age bracket.
how ling did it take you to conceive?
any tips to make things easier?

9 months with my first. I was doing everything right, but it still took that long. My best advice, which I know you won’t be able to do, is to relax, and enjoy the love making.

Are you tracking your ovulation? If you’re not ovulating, there’s a very small chance of you getting pregnant. I would advise tracking your cycle using a free app like Flo and then taking an ovulation test to confirm

First was unplanned, got pregnant the first week we met (I was 19, DH 28)
Second I wanted to get pregnant but wasn't tracking ovulation, got pregnant second cycle (I was 20, DH 29)
Third I also wanted to get pregnant but wasn't tracking ovulation, got pregnant second cycle (I was 22, DH 31)

I've been TTC again for 2 months and have been making sure to use ovulation tests and have had sex at the right time each month, I've put much more effort into it than the other 2 times I was TTC! I'm now 27 and DH 36. I completely understand how you feel as I was also expecting to be pregnant within 2 months again and it hasn't happened. I just keep reminding myself that anything up to a year is perfectly normal.
