Stuck copper coil removal experiences please

Hi everyone, I’m just looking for some advice and experiences other people have had with this. Wanting to try for baby no.2 so went to get my copper coil removed at the GP.
After around 4 pulls the doctor panicked and said we’ve got a problem, it’s stuck and the strings have just come off. She’s referred me to gynaecology and said it should be a 2/3 month wait where they will try to remove it via a hysteroscopy.
Mainly wanting to know what the experience of others has been like during this procedure, if the procedure has failed for anyone and they’ve had to have it removed via laparoscopy and also the time line other people have had with this?

Thank you in advance 😊

My mirena was removed by hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic. Is yours under GA?

No, it will be local - so two injections straight into my cervix. I could probably ask for GA but it’ll be a year or so wait
