Interested to know what are some of your family traditions to keep your children's childhood magical, I want to hear some!!
A few I can think of:
Trampoline sleepovers or in the living room
Homemade pizza night
Yes day(with some rules ofc)
Easter/valentines day etc gift baskets
Baking contests
Elf on the shelf/Santa/tooth fairy
Carving pumpkins
Fairy gardens

tiny letters from the tooth fairy. I found a template online for mini envelopes and then typed up thank you letters from the tooth fairy explaining what DIY project I was going to use her tooth for. I had a lot of time on my hands back then

During the lockdown we were big on DIY family photoshoots and we still do it from time to time. I've learnt some basic photo editing as well and my kids have photos of them next to their favorite artists and characters (here is a simple guide on editing someone into a picture, so this isn't that difficult at all).

I like your baking contest idea, we have singing contests from time to time and also drawing ones. On Easter we usually do quizzes with small prizes (chocolates, glittery pens, stickers, etc). Also as a hobbyist photographer I like walking around discovering nice areas which usually turns into fairly long walks, so I take DC with me. Sometimes they give me ideas on what to photograph and also this is the best time to act silly and have a laugh together.

I used to do this (DDs now young adults). One day my DD was using the laptop and when she went into the pictures she said "look Mum, that's the exact same picture the tooth fairy uses in our letters!" I had to quickly change the subject 🤣🤣

OP, this is on the Family Planning board, which is mostly about contraception, pregnancy and disagreements about having another child. You will get more responses if it move it to Chat.

mainly answering questions about life as a fairy. I was quite good at weaving little narratives. A couple of times when the letter was late I explained about tooth fairy rosters and how her tooth fairy had a larger area to cover so ran late sometimes 🤣

@SparklyGlitterballs
I also got into trouble when i overplayed my hand and used an app that put the tooth fairy in a photo in my kids bedroom, and my kid then found it on my camera role 🙄

I would try and include a little thing about what they'd been doing recently to make it seem real. I remember one time my DD's tooth fell out as she was cleaning her teeth and it fell down the drain. DD was devastated, thinking she wouldn't get a TF visit as she had no tooth to put under her pillow. The letter that night reassured her the tooth fairy had retrieved her tooth and had it in her safekeeping, so all was well 😁 🧚‍♀️
