I’m 27 to a 5 year old and a 2 year old.
When did you know to stop at 2 children?
My heart is saying just one more, my head is thinking no but my heart says yes. We can afford it if we cut some serious costs and only have a 2 bedroom at the moment.
i have thoughts about what if something was to happen to one, that’ll leave me with one. My husband doesn’t want but sometimes when I mention it he mellows to the idea.
But what made people stay at 2 children? And how did they find having 3?

had two previous miscarriages also and I dunno how I would cope if I had another.

If having 3 children will force you to be so financially stretched, then no, you’re just being selfish and shouldn’t have any more. The priority should be giving your 2 DC the best life and experiences possible.

Can you afford to move house and what’s your household income?
you can’t have 3 kids in a 2 bed house comfortably

Personal take on it...I just knew I wanted a 3rd child. We owned a home. He had a great job. I worked part time. We did ok. We already had a 9yo boy and a 3yo girl (miscarriage inbetween) and 3 bedrooms. Our biggest dilemma would be bedrooms. My husband who worked away from home said you realise it will be mostly on you. I said yes. And we had another girl....luckily for bedrooms! I was 34 then. I'm now 52 and she starts uni in September. When she was born all needs for any more children disappeared and She completed our family. I cant imagine our lives without her...but...i can't say our lives would have been the same had we had to stretch finances to a larger house so we had a bit luck. We already upped from a 2 to 3bed when we knew we wanted 2 kids
