How long after copper coil did your cramps and bleeding settle? And how long after did you have sex? The thought of sex knowing there's something in there is slightly giving me the fear 🙈🙈

I think I had sex within a few daysyou camt tell its there unless wire is too long and then they trim it. The cramps actually took 6 months to settle I almost had it removed but then I had about 10 years after that of non hormonal contraception with no side effects so glad I stuck with it in the end

I've had two, the second after having my son. I don't remember having any bleeding or spotting with either but cramps lasted maybe only a few days then back to normal. First time round they were definitely worse. After that I felt completely normal and never knew it was even there.
