Struggle with IVF

Me and my husband have been together 10 years and have been struggling to conceive for years. Finally been referred to the fertility clinic by my GP to be told I can't have a child through IVF because he has a child in a previous relationship. I'm absolutely heart broken and I feel like I can't speak to him about it because I don't want to put that onto him. Has anyone gone through this and has any advise?

I’m so sorry, some nhs trusts have abolished that rule, is there another trust you live near to you could get referred to instead? You can usually find each ICB fertility treatment criteria online for each one. It isn’t an issue we had going through nhs treatment for our baby 2 years ago but the criteria is strict and a postcode lottery, the GP should have been able to tell you that though.
