Unwanted pregnancy guilt and scared

I came of the pill 2 years ago due to Gynecology issues - query VA and Lichen Sclerosis. And waiting for a referral appointment.

I thought I was being careful but have fallen pregnant. I'm 39 and have an 8 year old.

I'm approx 5.5 weeks and have been told I have to go for a scan in 2 weeks due to bleeding during intercourse around 2 weeks ago ( I initially thought I'd started my period)

I'm so scared and feel so much guilt about this happening and wanting to terminate.

I don't know who to talk to , my partner is supportive in my decision but finding it difficult to put this to the back of my mind until the scan

It’s devastating when an unplanned pregnancy becomes the consequence of simply having sex—a natural, enjoyable part of life. You didn’t ask for this; you were just living your life. If you want an abortion (let’s not sugarcoat it or call it something else), then have an abortion. It’s your decision. An unplanned pregnancy profoundly impacts you and those around you forevermore.
