Cerazette work at all??

I started taking Cerazette in October, relatively symptom free but I had “relations” Saturday and while I took the tablet as normal I ended up being ill 3 hours later, I took another at 4am as I was awake worrying and still with it the 12 hours later window. But all the reviews of pregnancy have me worried stiff!!
The other threads do seem quiet old I was wondering did they maybe change the pill it seems like everyone on it ended up pregnant. Think I will get some plan B even if it was 3 days ago is it as high risk pregnancy wise as it appears online? Why would any doctor prescribe it 🙈

What do you mean, why would anyone prescribe it? It works for many of us. I took it for 15 years and only got pregnant when I came off it.

Thanks for the response, I was previously on combined pill for over 15 years before I had my LO, and I was a little concerned as I’ve never seen so many posts from people saying they got pregnant of a specific type of pill before as I have with Cerazette when I googled it (probably should have done that before but didn’t), some people saying they got pregnant on it twice. I am well aware no BC is 100% and most people post the negative but still seemed v excessive. I think I have taken it correctly but being so recent PP i am a little overwhelmed maybe by the reviews? Great you’ve been on it so long and it’s worked just fine that’s reassuring thank you for commenting 😊

I have just started this pill myself and loads of people have said it's great especially for heavy periods which I have hence why I choose this pill it says it's 99.99% effective when taken correctly so I don't see why it should fail

Since you were within the 12 hour window unless you had more vomiting or diarrhoea after the second pill Id say you're safe. The real world failure rate is related to people taking it incorrectly or not realising its effectiveness can be reduced by vomiting and diarrhoea. You have taken it effectively. It's real world effectiveness isn't that different from the combined pil and is a lot better than condoms. Are you on any other medications? Some other things like st john's wart effect the pills ability to work. If you take it according to the instructions the effectiveness will be similar to laboratory outcomes.
