We currently live far from both our families. Both are families live on south coast U.K. but 2 hour drive minimum from each other.
Previously we have lived in big cities which is where we met but we now have a baby and another on the way.
I have family and really good school friends in a beach town and I’m am missing my friends and family. I am nervous about the second baby coming and being alone for it with my partner working etc. Property is expensive in my home town and there are not many jobs.
My partner is from a city near London. It is vibrant and exciting and there are job prospects but I would not be near my friends or family. Property is expensive here too. He has less family there than I do and is less close with his friends.
The next move we make needs to be long term financially wise and for the babies.
We are finding it very difficult to decide on the best option and becoming stressed about it, has anyone been in a similar situation?
Who compromised and did it cause issues?
I don’t want one of us to resent the other but also at present we are both losing out where we are. It’s also incredibly hard to know what the right decision is!
