False negative

hello everyone,
I am 41 and I've never been a mother. My cycle is pretty consistent between 26 and 28 days. I'm now 30 days without a period. I've never gone this long. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was faulty. I took another one today and it came up negative . These are pretty good quality tests.
i'm just wondering if anyone has had something like this happen and still found out they were pregnant later?
I'm having nausea. Last night I had heartburn which I never have. I know my only option right now is to wait. But has anybody else been through this?

It's too early to tell yet. I wouldn't have thought there is enough of the hormone that pregnancy tests detect in your system yet. You will just have to wait

I had two negative tests 2 and 5 days after my period was due……had a doctors appointment a week later as still no period, and we were trying for about 6 months. She did a pregnancy test and it was positive. Currently holding my 10 month old daughter.

So it happened to me. Hold out another few days if you can.
