Is the third a real game changer?

Just that really....
We have DD8 and DS5 but I just can't shake the feeling of wanting one more.

DH is happy either way but I'm wondering...does the 3rd change everything? We have one of each, and youngest is now at school so we have that little bit more independence now.

Would we be stupid to go back to nappies and night feeds?
Are holidays really rather much more expensive with a third?
Do older kids find the change to sharing rooms etc harder?

Thanks for any honest feedback!

Can't answer your question as a mother, as I'm only pregnant with my third. This will most definitely definitely be our last though. This is my first pregnancy to be labelled 'high risk' and I'm finding the stress of complications (or worse) unbearable already and I'm only 16 weeks. Couldn't deal with rolling the dice a fourth time, whatever happens this time.

I am one of three myself and had a great childhood. Obviously loads of fighting with siblings, but we were all close in age which I think makes that worse. But also loads of good times. As adults we all remain a close family, live very close to each other and see a lot of each other etc, we support each other and my DPs.

The main things are time and money.
We have 3 teens. It's the same as paying for 5 adults but on 2 wages. Yes they work but as they are at school that doesn't cover food (omg they eat so much), clothes, sports activities, before we start talking about university (currently around £250 per child a month). We are middle income earners and we are skint. Holidays with 3 is expensive as everything is set up for a family of 4.b
Timewise it's hard to spend time alone with them ever.
