Antidepressants whilst pregnant

Has anyone taken antidepressants whilst pregnant and if so which ones? I really want another baby but I am currently really struggling with my mental health at the minute and I'm not sure I'd cope during a pregnancy without medication so I'm just interested to hear other people's stories

I took fluoxetine 20mg all through both my pregnancies. I was on it anyway and Altho no one will ever safe medication is 100% safe in pregnancy (even paracetamol) they did weigh up and its considered more risky to just stop taking them wen ur pregnancy/post partum. Both my boys were absolutely fine !

I've been on fluoxetine but changed because they were no longer working😵‍💫

Ur GP will probably write to the peri natal pharmacy team for advice. That’s what they did for me and they came back and said that it is relatively low risk but all medication in pregnancy carries a risk. If the medication you are on is not relatively safe they may suggest another medication for u. For me they did say sertraline is considered safest but I didn’t want to change as fluoxetine is the one that Finally helped me. Bare in mind that it is unethical to test medicines on pregnant women so everything is really “in theory” x
