Mirena Coil Weight Loss

Just wondering if anyone has had the mirena coil fitted and found it helped them with weight loss?
I avoided getting it in for years as I heard the hormones can play havoc with you and I didn't do well on the pill, but the doctors convinced me that their hormones were minimal and localised to your cervix, so thought I'd try and just get it removed it if didn't suit me.

I had it fitted beginning of February and despite struggling to lose weight for 2 years after having my second baby, I'm finding it's now coming off more easily and I can only put this down to the coil because ive not changed a lot in my eating and exercise. I seem to have only come across posts where people have complained about weight gain because of it and was just wondering if anyone else had experienced weight loss because of it?

I gained a stone on it OP. I've always been tiny so not a huge deal but once I had it removed it dropped off.

Officially there’s no evidence to support that IUD’s cause weight changes. Anecdotally there seem to be quite a few women who report weight gain. Weight loss seems unlikely but if I were you I’d just be grateful! My baby weight has been hellish to lose.

Yeah it seems much more common that people gain weight from it! I was curious as to if I was the only person who has seemed to lose weight! Definitely grateful though!
