I posted before about having the mirena interested last week and so far all good, I thought I'd check for the strings for the first time today but I feel like i can't even reach my cervix! I can't feel anything at all! Do I just have short fingers?!

I have this issue - perfectly normal length fingers haha! The advice is to check the strings just after you’ve had a period which is when your cervix tends to sit a bit lower down. I struggle to feel mine, and often have to check the next day. I honestly thought it would be easier and it has caused me stress on several occasions!

I had mine put in last year and was told that there were no strings. I've not had one before, so didn't question it. Did the person who did yours say anything about the strings?

Me too! I just want to know my coil hasn't gone missing somewhere so I can relax 😂

They told you there were no strings? ?? I'd check that as they need something to get it out.
OP it's common not to feel them especially if they've cut them quite short

Top tip from me, don't try feeling for your strings when you've been chopping chillis
Still makes me wince

I can only feel my strings if I squat...😅
Mine has been in for 3 years so far and I've never checked it as often as I should...thanks for the reminder!
