Mirena coil pain

I had the mirena coil put in at 10am this morning, the actual procedure wasn't too painful but I've been in pretty constant bad pain since, it's getting severely worse this evening and I'm starting to panic a bit something has gone wrong. Is this normal? Do I just need to wait it out? Honestly would choose labour and c section recovery over this pain, never felt anything like it!

I had mine inserted last week and didn't have any pain but from what I've heard from friends it's normal! Give it a couple days and see if it settles x

I had the most horrible bloating and general soreness that got worse until the evening then over the next couple of days it gradually got better. How are you doing now?

Hey, so the pain got worse and worse over 5 days so I went back to the GP who removed it and said it hadn't been inserted correctly which was causing my pain. Nightmare! Instant relief as soon as it was taken out

Ugh! I'm glad things went back to normal when it was removed.
