Could she be pregnant?

My 16 year old daughter started taking the pill 6 weeks ago.
She finished the first pack and is halfway through the second pack without a break as she was on a volleyball tour before Christmas in Europe and wanted not to be on her period while playing.
She had sex for the first time with her steady boyfriend twice, 4 days apart, 2 weeks ago. All my nagging about using condoms as a back up fell on deaf ears as she thought the fact they did it on the week she would normally have been on her period meant they were 'safe'. I had told her this is not the case.

I've reiterated that safe means free of the STD worry as well as pregnancy and the fact it was her boyfriend's first time too is not a guarantee.

She started spotting dark blood/discharge 2 days ago which has now turned to heavier watery red blood discharge today. We're staying with relatives in a fairly remote part of Fuerteventura but I could drive to a town for a pregnancy test? Or should she wait till we fly home on Friday?
Is it likely breakthrough bleeding? She has taken the pill religiously for almost 7 weeks non stop so the chances of pregnancy are practically nil.
She says they're both very sorry now that they didn't use condoms as well as the pill so it's a lesson learnt. Hopefully not the worst way though.
What's the best way from here please?

Pregnancy test is the next step, but running packs together doesn't work for everyone. I get breakthrough bleeding.

@ditalini Thank you. I never ran packs consecutive. Mainly because despite swotting up, my pre-children self worried that the 'double period' would be a tsunami.

You won’t know for sure unless she does a test.
