I took the morning after pill 7 weeks post partum but the pharmacist was flapping a bit, anyone found experienced this? Is it reliable?

@sunflowersaremyfav93 this forum has a lot of women that are trying to conceive so talking about the morning after pill here when a lot of women are struggling to fall pregnant probably is t the most tasteful thing to do 😕

Thanks @JulyT - where would you recommend I post this? I’ve seen plenty of other MAP questions posted under conception.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I don’t know sorry. I just thought maybe that’s why no-one had answered you

@hotcandle that’s incredible rude of you and she’s actually right, this isn’t the right space for that topic.

The correct place for this is https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy_choices
and she’ll get more suitable responses there.

Hello there, @sunflowersaremyfav93 - we've now moved your thread over to our Family Planning topic as it felt like the best place for it.

Hope that helps. Flowers

Thank you @JulyT will post on that feed goes without saying but to anyone else reading this I didn’t mean to cause any offence. Let’s all be nice. Mumsnet does have a rep for nasty and unkind comments, I know, but we’re not all out to get eachother on here.

I hadn’t seen their comment, what did it say? Mums net have helpfully moved my question over. @Wednesdaysotherchild

@sunflowersaremyfav93 had your periods returned yet? Are you breastfeeding? I think the MAP can sometimes affect milk supply so might be relevant.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 19/10/2023 18:50

No, no periods yet and not breastfeeding either.

What concerns did the pharmacist have? You are advised to use contraception from 21 days after birth and you won't know if you've ovulated or not so better to be safe than sorry.
