AIBU but we are planning a small intimate wedding. (Myself the daughter in law wanted to elope but agreed to more?) we have a chose a happy medium of an intimate family do with those we spend time with on a daily basis. So parents/grandparents and siblings. Brutal i know but the current cost of living crisis we cannot afford a £30k wedding and also have a family. Time is of an essence for us to have a family. The issue? My future MIL (has not offered any contributions to the wedding..we do not expect it) has said we need to invite all of these family members as it’s the right thing to do. She also said we definitely can afford to have children and we are lying that we can’t. Am I and in the wrong for getting mad that she is in denial? Very long winded but I’ve tried to shorten it?
