Hernia and TTC

I had an ultrasound today due to abdominal discomfort I've been experiencing on and off for a few months (referral was sent off January)
They told me there and then I have a hernia on my bowel on the left hand side. Me and DH have been wanting a baby for a long while and postponed trying until we found out what this was (incase it was ovary related or something more sinister) I haven't had the full down low yet - will hopefully get that from my GP within the next week or so.
But, my question is, has anyone has a similar hernia and gotten pregnant knowing about it?
They said in the ultrasound appointment that they weren't overly concerned as it has a 'wide neck' and was popping back in when push easily - so low risk strangulation.
I know if surgery is suggested, I'll be waiting a long time for surgery, and I really don't want to ideally put of TTC until after as that could well be another year. I'm 31 this year and desperate to start a family... I'm aware my GP would be the best person to answer these questions and I will of course ask when we have our next consultation but just looking for anyone who may have had similar and got pregnant and was fine etc...
the hernia can cause me a little discomfort sometimes, oddly on the opposite side to where it is located - but otherwise, I'm fine and on my feet all day everyday.

I have also posted in general health too.

Thank you x

I know this is an old post but...

Did you ever get an answer to this?

I had a hernia after birth of my first child and all throughout pregnancy with my second child and it was fine. Hernia got a little bigger and I'm still on an NHS waiting list for repair more than 6m after baby arrived. It sticks out right next to my belly button.

Good luck on your TTC journey!
