Mirena Coil - Mood Swings

I know the standard line is that the mirena doesn't affect hormones as they're a small dose and localised to the reproductive organs but since having my mirena fitted 3.5 weeks ago, I have found myself feeling intense rage and anger. Things that wouldn't normally bother me, now do. My reactions are extreme and I struggle to manage them. It isn't normal and I find it scary. I'm known for being a calm and patient person. The only thing that has changed for me is the coil. Has anybody else experienced extreme mood swings?

Hi @MirenaMisery how are you doing now, have things settled for you?
I'm in the same position as you were in March, and really struggling.
I was told pre coil fitting that the side effects wouldn't be bad due to localised hormones as opposed to going through the system like the pill. If I'd have known I was going to react like this I would have never had it put in.
