Copper coil pre/post baby

Hi guys
I'm not on any contraception (haven't been since prior to having DS2 18 months ago) and have been enjoying being hormone free. But I've had enough of being in fear of getting pregnant again!
I had the copper coil a few years ago before my children but it gave me such bad cramps I had it removed after about 8-12 weeks if I remember correctly.
My question is, has anyone had a similar experience, had a baby and tried the coil again with better results? Ideally I want to be hormone free again as I just seem to get constant spotting with pills/implant so I presume the mirena would be the same.

I just wondered if my body might react differently now I've been pregnant and given birth twice - wishful thinking maybe.

Well done if you made it this far! 😂TIA
