Hi

im wondering if anyone can offer some advice please?

Currently on progesterone only pill ( desogrestral) after my last miscarriage a few months ago, I'm having trouble with the side effects from it & want to try to conceive in 6+ months whilst I lose weight as been told bmi high n this might help! Also been advised I need to take blood thinners on my next pregnancy!

So I'm wanting something that doesn't mess up my cycles or less hormones n I was looking at the copper coil or natural cycles app ? As the coil seems to have less hormones In it and I don't want it to affect my fertility! As this is only a short term thing .. has anyone any experiences or advice please? Thankyou xx

I had a copper coil and it was great for me. It did make my periods heavier than normal for a while but it settled down. The main benefit was lack of hormones so always felt myself and when I had it removed to TTC, we conceived the following month so didn't need time for my body to adjust. My only concern (and I suspect this differs from area to area) would be actually getting an appointment at the local family planning clinic to get it inserted and removed if it's intended to be short term. In my area many clinics have closed and only a handful of appts for a large area were released at a time so it really was just your luck. I contemplated going private because it became quite difficult to get booked in and it did delay us TTC a bit. I'm currently 22wks pregnant and will definitely get another until we're ready to TTC again.
