I’m back on the mini pill after a break from it but quite frankly I’m fed up of hormonal contraception, I feel like it’s contributing to me being over emotional.
I’m looking into my options for hormone free contraception. I’m hesitant to get the coil because I have mild endometriosis and I was told it can make you bleed heavier, also I’ve previously suffered recurrent miscarriage and I’ve yet to start a family so I don’t want to risk putting anything in that might cause scarring or any further issues.
I’ve read up on something called “Phexxi” which is a non-hormonal gel you insert which is different from spermicide. It seems like it might only be available in the US at the moment unless anyone knows different? www.phexxi.com This is it.
