Looking for some guidance about which type and brand of pill is good for mid 40s and later?
I have never take the pill and have had a massively long hiatus with no sex (16 yrs!).
Advice very welcome.
Thank you

Combined pill is ok if you are not overweight, don't smoke and don't have high blood pressure. GP might be reluctant to prescribe it though and may try to guide you to something else.

Mini pill is better if you have any of the risk factors.

Great thanks for the advice
I'm not overweight, don't smoke and blood pressure is normal.

Should I expect weight gain when taking these do you think?
