Hi guys. I have been on the combined pill for 3 months nearly now and I want to know if it is normal to A. Feel sick all day before and after eating and B. I missed just one pill last week ..what are the chances I could have fell pregnant.. I missed one had sx that night then had my next one on time...ever since this I have had vivid dreams and even more nausea. Everything takes weird and smells weird...is this Al part of being on the pill like does it mimic pregnancy ?? Or could I have fallen pregnant ?? Any tips and own experience appreciated. X

I didn't feel sick on the combined pill but I know several people who did, some people find the oestrogen in the pill makes them feel sick. If it continues it might be worth asking for a lower oestrogen pill if you're not already on a low dose pill.

I don't know what the chance of pregnancy is with one missed pill but I think a missed pill nearer the beginning or end of the pack near the time of the 7 day break is more risky than a missed pill nearer the middle of the pack. I guess the only way to pit your mind at rest would be to do a test, particularly if you don't have a bleed at the end of this pack.

You might just need to change to a different combined pill, other ones may suit you or it may settle down. When I first started I had one of the three colour ones & felt awful but when I swapped to one that was the same dose every day I was fine on it.

It would be impossible to be feeling sick already if you got pregnant last week from the missed tablet

Ive just moved from the combined to progesterone only and I feel sooo sick, thinking of switching back

Think it's possibly the change in hormones but with a newborn baby I can't feel like this for very long

I always had about 3 months of "morning sickness" when I started a combined pill. It suited me very well after that and the feeling went away.

It’s very unlikely that you’re pregnant but it’s a always a good idea to rule it out when you’re worried like this. Buy a couple of cheap tests, do one now and another in a week’s time. If you conceived a week ago it wouldn’t show up on a test yet, which is why you should take a 2nd one in a week.
