Hi all!

I've been on the mini pill for 6 months and I'm coming off it to go on something more permanent.
I've been off it for 3 weeks.. when should I expect my periods to return?

I only breastfed for 1 month

Why don’t you just go straight onto your new contraception? You didn’t need to come off it.

Postnatally periods are unpredictable, and you’re fertile before they return so make sure you’re using other contraception.

I went to get it today (the depo injection) she told me I have to get it whilst on my period.

Yes we're using protection. Nor me or my husband want another baby just yet lol

Yes it’s ideal that you’re on your period, but you can have it as long as you’re confident there’s been no unprotected sex and risk of pregnancy. You wouldn’t be covered the first 7 days after having it.

Ask to see someone else who knows what they’re doing.
