I've been taking Cilique contraceptive pill for many years now, but my GP has said I need to come off it because I'm too old (43) and it raises the chances of developing blood clots.
I'm terrified to stop taking it, because I've tried twice in the past and my skin became awful - covered in spots. I didn't leave the house for two weeks and cancelled meet ups with friends. I'd had bad acne in my teens and it just brought it all back.
Has anyone else stopped taking the pill and had bad acne breakouts as a result? What did you do about it and did your skin get better?
