In August I came off the pill so DH and I could "see what happens" until xmas and then maybe properly try after that if nothing has. I felt really lucky as after 11 years on the pill my periods came back seemingly very regular. My first cycle was 27 days, my second 26 days and my third 26 days, I'm now in my fourth cycle. I used ovulation tests last month so get a general idea of ovulation but I dont intend to use them regularly. I got a surge on cycle day 13 so am assuming I ovulate between day 13 and 15. All seems quite regular and healthy.
Apart from the fact that on my second cycle off the pill I started getting a brown discharge on cycle day 22. It's not enough to be called spotting as it really is just a slight light brown tinge to my usual discharge, mostly only when I wipe but occasionally a little in my pants. I put a panty liner in a few times but it honestly felt like a waste as it was just a few drops of slightly brown tinged discharge. It went from cycle day 22 to the end of my cycle and then I got fresh proper period blood after a 26 day cycle. The third cycle was normal like my first but I'm now in my fourth cycle and it's happened again.
Yesterday was cycle day 21 and I had very pale brown discharge when I wiped and I'm getting the same today. I'm worried it's something more sinister like PCOS, Cancer or Menopause. I'm 30, healthy weight, active, no pain during sex, no acne, no excessive hair growth. So why am I getting this? Would it be silly to go to the doctor or is it normal? I'm afraid I've had pill periods so long I can remember what is normal and googling brings up all sorts of things.
