I have already made a post the other day within the same section talking about my excessive, abnormal bleeding following IUD insertion/a surgery. Long story short, I have been prescribed norethisterone for 21 days 3 times a day and tranexamic acid for 7 days. Initially, the bleeding stopped with some minor spotting, but after stopping the tranexamic acid, and being solely on norethisterone, the bleeding restarted 2 days ago but it was not as uncontrollable as it was before I went on it. I passed some clots and had cramping but I am not in any pain now.
Has anyone taken norethisterone for prolonged dysfunctional uterine bleeding? And if so, were you bleeding whilst taking it? I have spoken with the hospital who told me to monitor it for the day and if it gets worse, to go straight to their gynaecology ward.
