Wait for Mirena?

Is this normal? I phoned my GP to go onto a waiting list for the Mirena back in JULY!!!

Still waiting. I did phone back in August and was 30th on the list.

Really don't know what to do now. Apart from go private. What's the wait like in your area?! I'm Birmingham

Phone your nearest sexual health clinic- you'll get an appointment much faster. My GP had me wait five months and then said it'd be at least two more. Phoned my local clinic and got an appointment within the month.

I'm on a wait list too, just assumed it was the norm!

Do you have a sexual health/contraception clinic near you? My gp surgery don't even do the coil, it's all done at the sexual health clinic!
