Why am I bleeding?

I’m 26 & not on contraception, & haven’t been for about 5 years now. My periods are really regular and are medium/heavy. I have recently started monitoring ovulation, as we’re beginning to think about TTC. Last month, and again this month, at the same time as ovulation, I have bled. I think this might be ovulation spotting (although not sure why this would just start now - I’ve never had it before!) - it’s very dark brown and sometimes light pink, but not red. It’s lasted for 3/4 days both times, and it’s not heavy enough to fill a pad but heavy enough that I needed to wear one. I’m not sure whether I need to book a doctors appointment as I’ve never had this before - but questioning if I’m being really over cautious and it’s normal ovulation spotting (although still not sure why it would start now when I’ve never had it before!). Any advice would be really appreciated.
