Pregnant on the pill

Looking at contraceptive options and am strongly considering the pill. Just want to get an idea of the likely hood that I could fall pregnant while on it as I have heard of a few people having done so.

So if you are on/ have previously been, how long did you take it for? And did you fall pregnant while on it?

I have never fallen pregnant on either the combined or mini pill

Been on the combined pill and mini pill and never fallen pregnant on either.

Never been pregnant on either and got pregnant v easily twice in late 30s once I stopped taking combined pill.

Both my sister and sister-in-law got pregnant whilst on the pill though!

Hi everyone, I have been on the pill for almost 12 years - took a break to have my son (2 in December) and since having him, I have been back on the pill and taking it correctly.
Really strange but this time I took my usual 7 day break... No period yet and it's been 6 days!? Since yesterday I've been having spotting and (sorry TMI) Brown sticky discharge when I wipe but nothing on my pad - I was certain my period was coming. It seems very similar to the brown spotting I had when I found out I was pregnant with my son.
Has anyone got pregnant on the pill or can shed some light on this??

I got pregnant on the pill. I was on it for 6 years, never missed a pill and wasn't using any medication that could have affected it.

I've never got pregnant whilst taking the pill but I preferred the depo provera injection which covers you for 3 months at a time. I found I didn't have to think/worry about forgetting the pill. I got pregnant 6 months after stopping the injection when I was 31

Oh wow so it can happen then?! Im finding it so hard to believe that I could get pregnant on the pill hence why I have waited so long before testing. If AF doesn't arrive in the morning then I'll grab a test a see for sure.
