How likely?

Condom split yesterday 😱. Absolutely definitely do not want any more, I am 40 and my dc are finally all in school. Hormonal contraceptives do not make me feel great and dh hasn't got around to having the snip, condoms have been working great, until yesterday. My last period was 28th August. My cycle is between 28+35 days. I am going to go for the map today but am reluctant because of the hormones, never had it before but I think it's a high dose of hormones and likely to trigger my migraine and upset my stomach and I've literally just gotten over a really bad ibs flare. I know I'm being ridiculous but how likely is it that I'd get pregnant anyway?

If the choice is a migraine and upset stomach or an unwanted baby surely you know which one to make?

I know I know! It's just I'm so so busy at the moment and this is a nightmare I can really do without. Was just wondering if someone more clued up than me could tell me my chances.

I NC'd for this. I am in the same boat as you. I'm mid 40's and have stopped taking the pill because after being on it for over half of my life I've had enough of it.

My last period started on 29th sept. This morning we had a condom failure. I don't think I should OV until later in the week. Cycle is 28 days bang on. Last months AF was my first after stopping the pill and arrived bang on time.

I'm hoping the fact that I'm mid forties and my fertility (according to having a google this morning) is massively declined and it is unlikely at my age to be able to fall pregnant naturally or easily.

I'd still get the MAP to reduce that risk imastupidwoman - if you haven't done so already.

I will do. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it happened but my partner definitely doesn't want any more.
