Contraception while on thyroxine

Hi, interested in what you do for contraception if you are also taking thyroxine?
I’m on 150mcg daily, been pretty steady dosage for 8 years or so. I feel generally fine.
We’ve just been using condoms and it’s really annoying and I would like to get proper contraception - I’m 43! Really should have sorted this out earlier. I’ve read that hormonal contraception can interfere with the thyroxine and I’m reluctant to do that, as it’s very well under control.
Would the copper coil be a good option? What do others on thyroxine do?
Thanks!

I have a Mirena, don't appear to have any issues re the thyroxine. Condoms were a pain, didn't cope with the pill.

I’m on thyroxine (50/day) and take the pill. I had no idea it interfered. Thyroid tests always come back in the normal range.

Same, I’m on 125 thyroxine and have been for years. I’ve been on the pill forever, also come off and had 2 children too. All been fine for me. I had no idea it could interfere, I’ve never been told that and I was under an endocrinologist whilst pregnant both times

Ah thanks, v useful to hear your experiences. I’ve got a phone call to discuss with a gp in a week and thought I’d do some thinking ahead of time.
