I had a copper coil inserted a week ago on Friday and have been bleeding ever since. It started as brown discharge and has become worse and worse ever since. It’s now bright red and the same amount as a normal period although I’m not due until Saturday. I’m going to call my GP in the morning but I’m now really nervous about having a period and whether or not this is going to settle. Does anyone have any similar experiences and did it settle in the end?
