Hi everyone
So I had the nexplanon implant put it on Monday morning so 4 days ago today.
I've had the inplant 2 times before this so this is my 3rd one ( with a 2 year break between this one and my last one as been on the pill) now I've had bruising before after insertion (removal) but I don't ever remember it looking this bad, I'd say the yellowish bluish bruising is what I normally get but I've never had the dark bruising before when Ive had it put in or taken out, it's just shocked me alot. I know in Google their is alot worse pictures but it's just never happened to me more like this and it's worrying me. I keep telling myself maybe she was a little bit to rough as the last 2 times I've had it in and own the nurses where quite gentle where as this is the first h time a doctor has tdone it for me and she was quite rough even cleaning the area. Just looking for some reassurance really before I ask the gp ( or if it's even worth asking the gp I feel silly) she did cover it up with a massive plaster plus a bandage so I don't know whether that could be it. Also, my last 2 implants have been placed a lot higher up where as this seems so low and closer to my elbow? My husband keeps telling me she's a tdoctor so she obviously knows what she's doing but it's just worrying me. I've atachetd a picture

Hello,
I hope your arm is looking better! Please update with how you're doing if you can :) Also, did you have any pain besides soreness in the arm afterwards? I just got my implant in the past 24 hours and I'm probably just being too worrisome but this is the second time I've had Nexplanon and I don't remember it hurting this bad the first time. My bruise has not turned yellow yet but its definitely brusied more than last time I had it done. I also get a stinging kind of sensation, by where the insertion site is. Its like a stinging/burning feeling. I dont remember having that the first time but wasn't sure if it's just due to having one removed and then another one put in. I've been looking all over Google but can only find people talking about getting it removed and not replaced. I found your post on here and was like wow they posted this not that long ago lol while I was searching Google I did see someone say their bruise was yellow for a whole month but that when they went to the doctors about it they said nothing was wrong. I hope your arm is looking better! And I also noticed you said that they inserted it lower this time and closer to your elbow. They did the same for me. I thought that was weird.
